There are no words that can express the hurt and pain in my heart and soul at the loss of one of our very own. It’s especially hard if you knew Steve as we did. Talented doesn’t begin to describe this young man who was taken away from us way too soon. If you knew Steve you will forever remember him as a respectful young man that I never once heard a disparaging word from. If you knew Steve you will forever remember the kind and soft spoken young man who lead his teammates by example, rather than words. If you knew Steve you will forever remember a young man that was hardworking, dedicated and selfless, more concerned about his team and teammates than about his own stats and performance. If you knew Steve you will forever remembered a young man that any coach would love to have been blessed to coach, and wished we had an unlimited supply. This year’s season will be dedicated in memory of Steve, and his number 32 will be retired, never to be worn again.
